About

Steffi has never been one to be content staying static. Despite her sometimes crippling anxiety, she has always strived to push herself out of her comfort zone, learn new skills and try new things. So in 2019 when her boyfriend asked her to haul ass across the continent to live in Germany, it came as no surprise to anyone that she immediately accepted.

Together, they have come up against many obstacles in Germany, but they are doing their damned best to make it work for them.

On top of her full-time job as an Admin Executive, Steffi has many other talents.

She is a qualified Spinning Instructor and English as a Foreign Language Teacher. She is also a copywriter, editor (audio + written word) and keen volunteer.

Steffi has a huge passion for exercise and fitness, with running, yoga and Les Mills classes being her faves (although she does reluctantly strength train). Her goal is to become a PT and Yoga Instructor before she turns 30.

When she’s not sweating it out, Steffi loves to watch film + TV (with a soft spot for the coming-of-age genre, despite being 27…), listen to podcasts or, better still, curl up with a good book. She has dreams of writing both a book and a screenplay one day!

Steffi is a fully-fledged millennial, having no real memory of life before the Internet. She has been blogging and on various social media sites (RIP Bebo) for over 15 years.

Here on this blog, Steffi is documenting her journey as an unexpected expat, and wants to bring you along for the ride! It’s advisable that you grab a tea or coffee as she occasionally rambles on, but she hopes you enjoy her anecdotes!
