Reader, runner, yoga lover. Coffee drinking, cake eating, late twenties millennial.

Steffi has never been content staying still. Despite her sometimes crippling anxiety, she has always strived to push herself out of her comfort zone, learn new skills, try new things and grow into a better person. So in 2019 when her boyfriend asked her to haul ass across the continent to live in Germany, it came as no surprise to anyone that she immediately accepted.

Now in their second year of expat life in Germany, they will openly admit that not everything is as peachy as it always seems. There have been some serious uphill battles, most notably Brexit and a global pandemic. However, they are now finally starting to settle into German life.

Steffi is a fully-fledged millennial, having no real memory of life before the Internet. She has been blogging on and off for over fifteen years. It only seemed right that she should blog this journey as well.

Here on Adventures of Steffi, you can find honest, personal accounts about being an expat in Germany, informative and funny language posts and the occasional travel post (because let’s be honest, nobody is going anywhere interesting right now!).

It’s advised that you come prepared with a cup of tea, coffee or wine as Steffi enjoys rambling and is terrible at editing her own words.
